- Dedicated circuits such as Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASIC) or Application Specific Standard Products (ASSP), whose development costs and time to market have become unaffordable for small to medium volume applications,
- Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA), whose development costs, and performance to power consumption ratio often exceed the market acceptance limits,
- Conventional multicore processors (CPU) or multicore Digital Signal Processors (DSP) whose power consumption is excessive compared to the performance they can deliver.
The AccessCore® Software development environment provides all the necessary tools to build an MPPA® application that would otherwise require a complex combination of DSPs, FPGAs and micro-controllers with the associated tool sets.
