Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Since 2014, Eric Baissus has been the CEO of Kalray. Kalray is a leading company in I/O data processors, delivering a new generation of low latency, low consumption, extreme computing processors that target the growing markets of data center cloud infrastructure, big data analytics and self-driving cars.
Previous to his time at Kalray, Eric spent 8 years at Texas Instruments where he led the development of various chip designs and reference solutions. In 2002, Eric founded and led Open-Plug as CEO and CTO, until it was acquired by Alcatel-Lucent in 2010. OpenPlug was a pioneer and a leader in the area of software frameworks for mobile phones. Its products shipped in the millions of devices and its customer portfolio included Fortune 100 customers such as Sony-Ericsson and Intel. After the acquisition by Alcatel-Lucent, Eric Baissus became VP R&D and VP Innovation of Alcatel-Lucent Application Enablement, located in Palo Alto, CA, USA.
Passionate about new technologies and about turning high-tech innovation into business, Eric Baissus occupies several board positions. He graduated from Ecole Polytechnique (Paris France) and Ecole Nationale Superieure des Telecommunications (Paris France).
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Anne has an extensive experience as CFO in start-ups and mid-size companies.
Prior to joining Kalray, Anne held the role of CFO at Movea, a Grenoble-based technology company, where she was instrumental in raising new funds, transforming the revenue model and contributing to the M&A process, resulting in Movea’s successful acquisition by Invensense Inc.
Previously, over a period of 9 years, Anne acted as CFO of Volubill, a telecom company. She took the company from being a start-up with 7 employees to an international corporation with over 170 team members, 5 subsidiaries and customers around the world. She managed technology and licensing contracts and raised a total funding of €25M.
Anne also worked as Finance Director at EHPT EMEA, a joint venture between HP and Ericsson, and at Benetton Group, launching the French subsidiary for sporting goods. She started her career as an internal auditor for Club Med.
Anne is a Graduate from the Essec Business School in Paris, with a Master in Finance and Law.
She has also created her own company, coaching and advising several start-ups and mid-size companies. She is an advisory board member for several early-stage companies.
Benoît Dupont de Dinechin
Chief Technical Officer (CTO)
Benoît is the Kalray VLIW core main architect, and co-architect of the Kalray Multi-Purpose Processing Array (MPPA). He his also a direct contributor to several components of the AccessCore software development environment.
Before joining Kalray, Benoît was in charge of Research and Development for the STMicroelectronics Software, Tools, Services division. He was promoted to STMicroelectronics Fellow in 2008. Prior to STMicroelectronics, Benoît worked at the Cray Research park (Minnesota, USA), where he developed the software pipeliner of the Cray T3E production compilers.
Benoît earned an engineering degree in Radar and Telecommunications from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de l’Aéronautique et de l’Espace (Toulouse, France), and a doctoral degree in computer systems from the University Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris) under the direction of Prof. P. Feautrier. He completed his post-doctoral studies at the McGill university (Montreal, Canada) at the ACAPS laboratory led by Prof. G. R. Gao.
Benoît has published over 50 conference papers, journal articles and book chapters, and holds 10 hardware patents.
Jean Pierre Demange
Vice President, Sales & Marketing
Jean Pierre has 35 years of business experience in the semiconductor industry.
Most of his career was spent at Texas Instruments, where he held different business management positions in sales, developing world wide accounts like Nokia and Ericsson and Product Marketing, managing products such as DSP, ASIC and dedicated Telecommunications devices.
Telecommunications was the key market developed during this time and Jean Pierre is a pioneer in the wireless terminal industry. He created the very successful Wireless Infrastructure Business Unit at Texas Instruments. He has an electronic engineering degree from the University of Montpellier France.
Director, Embedded Technology Business Unit
Stéphane is a successful executive with a combined 20 years of experience in business (Sales; Marketing; Business development; BU Mgr) in the semiconductor industry around wireless, video and embedded applications.
Prior to his role at Kalray, Stéphane held various business and management positions at STMicroelectronics and ST-Ericsson, where he worked in business development with major OEMs and platform-makers for mobile applications and the multimedia industry.

Gilles Delfassy is presently the President of the Supervisory Board of Kalray, SA, Chairman of the Board of Movea SA, and Director at both Imagination Technologies Ltd (IMG), and ON Semiconductor. He is also President of GC Delfassy Consulting, where he advises high-tech companies on their strategy and operations.
Mr. Delfassy began his career in 1978 at Texas Instruments (TI). In 1994, he moved to TI’s corporate headquarters in Dallas, Texas, to create and lead the company’s wireless terminals business unit, eventually growing it into a five-billion dollar operation. Under Mr. Delfassy’s leadership, TI became the world’s number-one supplier of semiconductors for the wireless industry. He was senior vice president and executive officer of Texas Instruments when he retired in 2007.
Since that time, Mr. Delfassy has served as an advisor for many companies in the high-tech industry. He has held Advisory Board positions at Venture Capital firms 3i and Pitango, and served on the Board of Directors at several companies in the US and in Europe. From September of 2009 to December 2011, he assumed the position of president and chief executive officer at ST-Ericsson, a joint venture of ST Microelectronics and Ericsson.
Mr. Delfassy received an Engineering Diploma (Master of Science in Electrical Engineering) at Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Electronique et d’ Automatique de Toulouse in 1977. He then graduated in Business Administration from Institut d’Administration des Entreprises de Paris in 1978. He has completed specialized courses on corporate governance for members of boards of directors at Stanford University and the University of Chicago.
